INNOVATIVE COMPANY «MECHATRONICA-PRO» (TOMSK, RUSSIA) STARTS TO REALIZE LARGE-SCALE PROJECT IN FIELD OF DEVELOPMENT OF COMPLETE SYNCHRONOUS ELECTRIC DRIVES

        «Kaluga electromechanical plant» joint-stock company and «Mechatronica-Pro» have started pilot interregional project for development and serial production of complete synchronous electric drives.

        The serial production expects releasing brand-new product to the market that will be competitive in terms of both price and features with annual output more than 10 000 items for the following market segments:

- Lifts and elevators;

- Ventilation systems;

- Pump systems.

        The basis of the complete electric drive consists of synchronous electric motor of new design, which manufactured by JSC «Kaluga electromechanical plant» and frequency converter with new features that is developed by «Mechatronica-Pro».

        The scientific and technical potential of Tomsk enterprises and universities allows to solve successfully the problems of development in this project, and the manufacturing capabilities and long-term experience of serial production of JSC «Kaluga electromechanical plant» provide qualitative production of finished product and warranty services.

        «Mechatronica-Pro» is an enterprise of innovation zone of Tomsk Polytechnic University. The intelligence of developed electric drives is based on the company innovation technology MexBIOS, which is recognized by leading manufacturers of microcontrollers, such as Texas Instruments.

        Main groundwork in the applied technologies has been carried out thanks to long-term effective cooperation of «Mechatronica-Pro» and Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises. Particularly the Foundation has given support not only at stage of the enterprise formation – by programs «UMNIK» and «START», but also at stage of popularization and promotion – by program «Commercialization».

        Program «Commercialization» allows not only to popularize the technologies of «Mechatronica-Pro» and establish 11 Educational Centers in Russian Universities, but also to find industrial partner JSC «Kaluga electromechanical plant», which has large production capabilities.

        The collaboration plans of the companies have been considered during joint meeting at office of Tomsk region Vice-governor for research, education and innovation policy M.A. Sonkin.
